The Rose Garden is a rare garden spot hidden away in the hills above Portland’s Hollywood District. Designed with a Mediterranean flavor, Rose Garden is reminiscent of a Moorish pavilion with arched entryways and scalloped details cut into its rich stucco facade and eye catching terra cotta tile surrounding the rooftop. Built in 1925, you’ll find such enchanting features as French doors opening to vestibules and terra cotta tile in a herringbone design at apartment entrances. Step into the courtyard to find a terrace bordered with wrought iron, replete with the roses that are the building’s name sake. It is a charming place to come home to.

Each of the 12 apartments at the Rose Garden has unique features that make them comfortable and charming. Rich hardwoods span the living areas of every apartment. The classic look of the kitchen cabinetry is enhanced by tile counters and offer abundant storage options. The baths are sumptuously appointed with tile floors and surrounds creating a spa like atmosphere. Cavernous closets allow plenty of space for a most expansive wardrobe. All of the rooms are lit by large insulated windows creating bright, cheerful spaces.

Rose Garden is the eastern gateway to the Hollywood district. Just one block off Sandy Boulevard, it is so perfectly tucked into this residential area that it feels like it is in another part of the city. It is the perfect location to easily reach downtown, Interstate 84 or thoroughfares to the airport. You can also enjoy freshly roasted coffee at the Case Study Coffee Shop and outstanding fresh pastries from The Bakeshop. Or explore the thousands of comics located in the famed Cosmic Monkey.
